A Christmas Gift of Giving Back and Looking Forward
As the festive season draws near, it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and, most importantly, kindness. This year, Medtech is proud to support The Kindness Collective, an incredible organisation dedicated to spreading kindness and providing essential support to those in need across New Zealand.
The Kindness Collective: It Takes All Of Us
Founded with a mission to spread kindness and support those facing hardship, The Kindness Collective works to create positive, lasting change by providing essential resources to families, children, and individuals in need. From food parcels and clothing to gifts for children who might otherwise go without, the organisation’s work is rooted in a simple yet powerful belief: kindness changes lives.
Each year, The Kindness Collective supports hundreds of families, offering a wide range of services, including food and clothing assistance, gift giving at Christmas and community support. At the heart of all these efforts is a simple truth: when we come together to show kindness, we create a ripple effect that can change lives and communities for the better. It tells people that they are not alone and that their community is there for them, even in their darkest moments.
Medtech’s Support: Gifts Under the Tree
Each year, The Kindness Collective provide over 10,000 children and their families with presents, treats and food to enjoy on Christmas Day. This Christmas, Medtech is proud to contribute to The Kindness Collective by placing gifts under our office Christmas tree. These gifts will go directly to children and families who might not otherwise have presents to unwrap on Christmas morning. For many, these simple acts of generosity can bring not only material relief but also hope, joy, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
While Christmas gifts are a vital part of The Kindness Collective’s mission during the holiday season, their work continues long after the holidays have passed. They ensure that families receive the support they need, whether it’s through food parcels, clothing, or other resources, all year round.

At Medtech, each year we hold a company hui, and this year’s theme is “Giving Back and Looking Forward.” This theme is especially fitting as we approach the holiday season. It speaks to the importance of acknowledging our collective responsibility to support those in need, while also looking toward a future where communities are stronger, more resilient, and more connected.
