Medeor® Pay by Link (PBL) FAQs

Whether you see a patient in person, or they book a phone appointment or order a repeat prescription – simply email or text them a secure link to their personalised, practice-branded payment webpage and they can pay straight away from any device. Your patients don’t need to create an account or download any apps and they’ll get a detailed receipt by email.

Medeor® is fully automated in Evolution. All payment transactions are automatically recorded against the corresponding invoice in Evolution, including part-payments, and Medeor® is the only payment solution to run a daily, automated reconciliation to match bank settlements against the payment record in Evolution.

Medeor® PBL is included with Medtech Evolution 6.0 and above. All Medtech releases are available for download on our Insight Portal and we recommend you keep up to date with the latest version. To apply for a login to our Insight Portal, contact our Support Team.

Medeor® Pay by Link is only available with Medtech Evolution 6.0 and above. Request a Demo from our Sales Team today and migrate to Medtech Evolution to take full advantage of the benefits and features of Evolution and Medeor® Pay by Link.

Medeor® Pay by Link uses industry standard security to ensure all payments are securely transacted. This includes the encryption of the card capture process (see the lock symbol and https:// reference in the website URL of Medeor® payment links). In addition, Medeor® is independently audited for compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Yes. Medeor® uses your existing payment gateways to process transactions with any New Zealand bank.

Yes. You can send payment reminders to aged debtors in bulk by email or SMS with a personalised message and a link to pay from any device. Each time a payment link is sent for a current transaction, patients will be presented with all the invoices they still need to pay, or the amounts still owing on the invoices they have partly paid. They can choose to pay all amounts owing or simply enter the amount they can pay today against each of the invoices.

Yes. Medeor® can issue and record refunds as part of the simple button-click, integrated, automated Medeor® workflow.

Yes. The payment link will be sent to the account holder who will be able to view and pay all invoices for all whānau linked to their account from one payment webpage.

Medeor® is integrated with our Medtech SMS service. If you are not already using our Medtech SMS service to communicate with your patients, Medtech SMS will need to be enabled for Medeor® Pay by Link. You can continue to use your existing SMS provider for other patient communication if you choose to, but Medtech recommends using one SMS service for all messaging from your PMS. If you are not using any SMS service and do not want to, you can still send payment links by email only.

Medeor® is integrated with Medtech Evolution 6.0 and above. If you are running an older release you will need to upgrade to a current release. It is also a legal requirement for your practice to complete KYC (Know your Customer) and AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism) compliance in order to transact. Medeor® Point of Sale (POS) FAQs

If you have a problem with your terminal, you can call Smartpay, our terminal partner on 0800 476278. This number operates 24×7.

Alternatively, if you think your problem may be related to Evolution, please call the Medtech Service Desk (operates during NZ business hours).

If in doubt, contact Medtech. We are here to help you.

If your terminal is stolen, you need to contact Medtech immediately. We will organise an urgent replacement with Smartpay.  If this happens outside of NZ business hours, contact Smartpay directly (0800 476278).

You need to inform us before you change the bank account which receives payment income.  We need to make system changes to ensure you receive payment income to the new account. Please call the Medtech Service Desk to let us know the new bank account details.

Please call the Medtech Service Desk if you need to order additional terminals.

We need to make an engineering change, to switch your terminal to 4G. You can call Smartpay, our terminal partner on 0800 476278. This number operates 24×7.

Your practice has a direct relationship with Worldline, outside of the terms of your agreement with Medeor®.  This covers access to the EFTPOS payments network and the administration of refund cards.
