This Update contains OVER 40 major performance, stability, and workflow enhancements across many modules in Medtech32, many of which were resolved thanks to the assistance from practices who have already upgraded to Version 9.2.0. All practices should upgrade to Medtech32 Version 9.2.1 Build 4494 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

NOTE: Some of the workflow changes MAY AFFECT your business workflows and procedures, such as reverting the default Filter options in Provider Inbox, and re-enabling the Template dropdown box in Patient Palette One-Off SMS. Please refer to the User Release Notes for more details and amend your practice policies accordingly (if applicable).

NOTE: The Scanning module has been enhanced to allow each user to have different Scanning configurations. Please refer to the Technical Release Notes for more details and amend your practice policies accordingly (if applicable).

NOTE: The following is a summary of the critical scanning rotation bug that was resolved in Version 9.2.1:

  • It has been reported on some occasions that if the a scanned document is rotated using the "Rotate Page" button in Inbox, the scanned document may become corrupted. This issue was introduced in Medtech32 Version 9.2.0 due to the upgrade of the underlying imaging component, and does not affect practices who are still running on Version 9.1.7 or below.
  • Instructions for Practices on Version 9.2.0 or above

If your practice is currently running on Medtech32 Version 9.2.0, please instruct all users to stop using the "Rotate Page" button in Inbox until your practice has been successfully upgraded to Version 9.2.1.

While you are running on Medtech32 Version 9.2.0, if any of your users have or might have used the "Rotate Page" button in Inbox, or you have encountered any scanned documents that cannot be opened after upgrading to Version 9.2.0, please contact the Medtech Helpdesk on 1800 148 165 for assistance as soon as possible. Our support staff will guide you through to run the Missing Scan Utility, which was released in Version 9.2.1, to detect if there are indeed any corrupted scanned documents. The utility will generate a list of corrupted scanned documents (if any), such that you can inactive the corrupted Inbox record and rescan the original hardcopy. In case you no longer have the original hardcopy, it might still be possible to recover the original Inbox record from your database backup if a healthy copy of the scanned document was included in your daily database backup prior to the user using the "Rotate Page" button on the affected record.

  • Instructions for Practices on Version 9.1.7 or below

If your practice is still running on Medtech32 Version 9.1.7 or below, please upgrade directly to Version 9.2.0 and then to 9.2.1.  You must use 9.2.1 not 9.2.0 as your production software.
