Empowering Australian Healthcare: How Medtech Artia® Is Supporting Practices Across WA and SA
Medtech’s commitment to supporting Australian healthcare providers through technology was at the forefront during our recent site visits to Western Australia (WA) and South Australia (SA). This visit followed our recent technology lift from the Evolution platform to Artia. Led by Tyson Somerville and James Portz, our Business Development Managers for Australia, the team visited long-standing clients to gain a deeper understanding of their evolving needs and explore how Medtech Artia® can continue to deliver value to their businesses.
First Stop: Wellington Medical Centre, Harvey, WA
Tyson kicked off their visit to Western Australia with Jess and Christine, Managers at Wellington Medical Centre, a Medtech partner since 1999. The practice recently transitioned to our cloud-hosted Artia® platform and has championed the advantages of cloud-hosted software in their community, valuing the automated backups and disaster recovery that allow them to work seamlessly from anywhere, at any time.
“The cloud hosting gives us peace of mind. If our practice disappeared tomorrow, we could set up shop the next day and carry on.” – Christine Rogers, Manager, Wellington Medical Centre.
Their feedback both affirming and constructive has been shared directly with our executive and product teams to inform and inspire future enhancements to the Cloud-Based Patient Management Systems currently in action.
Western Australia Primary Health Alliance:
We also met with Sharon Good, Primary Care Navigation Manager at WA Primary Health Alliance, whose team supports all general practices in Western Australia. We had a valuable conversation focused on the importance of collecting meaningful data from GPs to measure progress and ensure health programmes are making a measurable impact.
“It’s not just about collecting data, it’s about making sure it tells a story that leads to better health outcomes for communities.” Sharon Good, WA Primary Health Alliance.
Supporting General Practices in South Australia with Medtech Artia®: Golden Grove Health Centre & Port Lincoln
In SA, they visited Golden Grove Health Centre, one of the first computerised practices in Adelaide. Tyson met with Helen Cheedham who will be retiring as the practice manager and Cathy Davis from the admin team. Helen has been with the practice since 1995 and transitioned to Medtech Practice Management Software in 2003.
“We’ve seen the evolution of technology in general practice, and Medtech has been part of that journey. It’s great to see how far things have come.” Helen, Admin Team, Golden Grove Health Centre.
Further afield, the team visited Investigator Clinic in Port Lincoln, one of our most remote sites in Australia, showing that no site is too far to stay in touch with.
