Medtech Evolution is Services Australia web services ready

In News Australia

Medtech Global, the provider of the Evolution General Practice Management Systems in Australia and New Zealand, is pleased to announce that Medtech Evolution (Australia) is web services ready after receiving their NOI (Notice of Integration) certification from Services Australia at the end of October 2021. One of the first PMS vendors to achieve such certification.

Version 15 of Medtech Evolution contains the Services Australia changes and more, and it is expected to be available for customers at the end of November 2021, ensuring customers have ample time to upgrade before the Services Australia March 2022 deadline.

“While the changes to support the new Services Australia digital channels are required to guarantee Evolution is compliant, we wanted to ensure that there is as little disruption to practice workflows as possible” says Managing Director and CEO of Medtech, Geoffrey Sayer.

“For the most part, our customers won’t see any difference in online claiming for Medicare, DVA, or Eclipse, and the automatic PRODA renewal process every 6 months means that our customers won’t need to worry”.

Submissions to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) are also the same, however extended features and functions in line with the 2021 legislation changes are also available.

The Medtech team would like to remind all practices that NASH SHA-2 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates will also be required by March 2022, and Evolution customers can obtain a NASH SHA-2 certificate from the Australian Digital Health Agency now.

It has been another busy year, and we would like to thank health care providers and our team for their continued commitment to primary care. We’re excited about the upcoming year, with our sights set firmly on enhancing the Evolution user experience with a new look and feel, improved navigation, and expanded features, all underpinned by a new technology stack. Initiatives focused on improving medication management and interoperability through ALEX continue, as does our commitment to pursuing opportunities for innovation with our growing partner network in 2022 and beyond.
